01

Project Overview

Startup War Room gives founders one screen for the numbers and decisions that matter this week. It combines growth metrics, a lightweight pipeline, a risk register and an execution board.

02

Problem

Early-stage founders juggle analytics tools, CRMs, spreadsheets and task apps. Context-switching hides the signal: what is working, what is at risk, and what needs attention today.

03

Solution

A dark, focused command center with a clear hierarchy: key metrics at the top, trends in the middle, and risks plus execution below. Everything is designed to be read in under a minute.

04

My Role

UI design & frontend development

  • Dashboard information design and visual language
  • Reusable chart and KPI component library
  • Interactive execution board with drag and drop
  • Responsive layouts from wide monitors to phones

05

Tech Stack

06

Key Features

  • 01

    KPI strip

Revenue, leads, burn and runway with trend sparklines and period comparison.

  • 02

    Risk register

Risks are scored by likelihood and impact so the scariest items rise to the top.

  • 03

    Execution board

A weekly board keeps priorities visible without becoming another project tool.

  • 04

    Focus mode

A distraction-free view for weekly reviews and investor updates.

08

Challenges

  1. 01

    Density without noise

Fitting many signals on one screen required strict typographic hierarchy and restrained colour.

  2. 02

    Composable charts

Charts were built as small composable pieces so new metrics can be added without new code paths.

09

What I Learned

  • Dashboards are editorial design — every element must earn its place.
  • Small, composable chart primitives scale better than a monolithic chart component.

10

Result

A polished command-center UI and component library, now being connected to real data sources for a first group of founders.
